Updated Aginode Optical Fibre Field Testing Procedure
Apr 23, 2025
Aginode has updated its optical fibre field testing procedure to align with the latest edition of ISO/IEC 14763-3:2024 Ed.3.0. standard.
The ISO/IEC 14763-3:2024 standard introduces significant updates, including:
- The addition of MPO cabling testing
- Updated test limits to reflect evolving performance and reliability expectations
Our updated procedure reflects these important changes and ensures your fibre link testing stays compliant with the most current international standard.
Warranty applications: what’s new
Starting immediately, all warranty requests must follow the new ISO-based test limits. To support this change, we’ve published updated complementary warranty application forms.
- These forms are required when the OTDR used in the field does not provide automatic pass/fail analysis.
- In all other cases, select ISO/IEC 14763-3:2024 as the limit when setting up the tester
- Ensure your submissions use the latest sumbission forms to remain eligible for warranty coverage.
Available in English and French
Both the full procedure and a summary version are now available for download in English and French, making it easier for your teams to stay informed and compliant. Download the documents today and ensure your testing practices are up to date with the latest standards.
