Overview

The assembly consists of a MiniCore Universal B2ca cable terminated with LC/ LC connectors on each side in a factory.

Pre-Term solution for Meet-Me Rooms (MMRs), data centres and LAN environments based on MiniCore Universal B2ca.

The MiniCore cable combines high fibre density, a compact outer diameter and an excellent bend radius, making it ideal for high-density backbone and cross-connect applications where installation space is limited.

The cable is water-blocked and rodent resistant thanks to its glass yarn construction. It is suitable for installation inside buildings as well as for inter-building campus links.

Fire performance

The assembly is based on MiniCore Universal B2ca cable, tested according to the Construction Products Regulation EN 50575:2014+A1:2016.

The cable achieves a B2ca CPR classification, providing excellent fire performance with limited flame propagation, smoke emission, flaming droplets and acidity for installations requiring the highest level of fire safety.

It also complies with: IEC 60332-1 – Flame propagation and IEC 60332-3 – Fire propagation

Pre-Term characteristics

The LANmark-OF MMR Pre-Term features a robust dual-stage fan-out architecture specifically developed for high-density fibre management.

Each 24-fibre assembly is organised into two reinforced 12-fibre MiniCore bundles, which are subsequently distributed into 900 µm buffered fibres for direct termination into MMR, Datacenetrs, ENSPACE/ XPLORER panels.

Factory-terminated LC connectors ensure consistent optical performance while significantly reducing installation time and eliminating on-site termination.

To facilitate installation, the assembly includes:

• Reinforced aramid fan-out construction for improved mechanical strength.
• Individually protected 12-fibre connector groups for easy identification and handling.
• Protective transport foam around the fan-out section.

The assembly is supplied with cable glands adapted to the panel type, including a dedicated solution for Meet Me Room side installation.

Each Pre-Term is manufactured to the required length in 1 m increments, minimizing cable slack and improving cable management in high-density environments.

Every LANmark-OF MMR Pre-Term assembly is factory terminated, individually tested and delivered ready for immediate installation, ensuring reliable optical performance and rapid deployment.
